Lansing Fall Baseball
Little League (9-11)
Rules 2006

The following rules include all the rules from last year with additions and clarifications typed in bold/italics.

  1. The league shall be governed by the rules set forth in the “Official Regulations and PLAYING RULES” for 2006 provided by Little League Green Book ( Williamsport )..
  2. “Local Rules” from Lansing Little League’s regular season as detailed on pages 9, 10, 11, & 12 in the folder distributed at the beginning of the regular season..
  3. “Fall Ball Rules” as detailed below are to be followed and supercede the above rules where applicable.
  4. No inning may start after time limit of 2 hours.
In the case of a tie after 6 complete innings 1 additional inning will be played. Only a 9 or 10 year old may pitch.
  5. Because the season should be considered a instructional league, there will not be any standings kept. With that in mind, there will be no protests allowed during season play. There will be protests allowed for the tournament.
  6. Rain out games will only be re-scheduled by the League Director and will follow the rain schedule posted.
  7. Rain outs will only be decided by the groundskeeper before a game and the umpiring crew once the game has begun.
  8. You must have nine players to begin a game. In case of injury, you may finish the game with eight players with the ninth slot in the order counted as a out. If a player is ejected from the game and no defensive subs are left on the bench, the game will be called and in the case of tournament play counted as a forfeit.
  9. Any coach, manager, or player ejected from the game must leave immediately and must also sit out their next game. Exception is for a player who does not have ride at the game. That player must sit in the bleachers for the remainder of the game but must not attend their next game. Repeated offensives will be removed from their team for the remainder of the season.
  10. A team may borrow any 9 or 10 year old from any other team. This player may not pitch and cannot play more innings than a regular rostered player. A borrowed player must bat at the end of the batting order.

Tournament:

1.      For the purpose of tournament play, instead of per week it will be a rolling rotation using the same amount of innings the pitcher is allowed per week.
2.
Seeding in the tournament will be drawn from a hat with team drawing number 1 & number 6 being the bye teams
