EXTRA INNININGS:
Treat ANY inning pitched during the
normal 6 innings or any extra innings under the same rules listed below.
TOURNAMENT PITCHING RULES
1.
11 Year Old pitchers are limited to pitching a
COMBINED 2 innings PER game.
2.
A 4 (four) “rolling” inning rule is in effect for ALL 11 year old pitchers. This means that a team may only
pitch an 11 year old 4 consecutive innings (maximum combined 2 innings per
game) and then MUST give that pitcher 1 (one) game rest.
3.
A 6 (six) “rolling” inning rule is in effect for ALL 10 year old pitchers. This means that a team may only
pitch a 10 year old 6 consecutive innings and then MUST give that pitcher 1
(one) game rest. There are no per game inning limit on 10 year old pitchers.
4.
There are no pitching rule restrictions for 9 year old pitchers. A team is not required to pitch
a 9 year old during the tournament. If a 9 year old does pitch he is governed
by the 10 year old pitching rules.
EXAMPLES
EXAMPLE A:
Pitcher “A” (11 year old) pitches 2 innings in his teams first game.
The SAME PITCHER is eligible to pitch 1 or 2 innings in his teams second game.
If this pitcher “A” pitches 2 innings in his teams second game, then pitcher
“A” MUST take the next game off.
Pitcher “A” is then eligible to pitch in the next game with 4 more “rolling”
innings.
EXAMPLE B:
Pitcher “B” (11 year old) pitches 2 innings in his teams first game.
The SAME
PITCHER pitches 2 innings in his teams second game. This Pitcher/Player
(Pitcher “B”) MUST take the next game off and is then eligible to pitch in the next
game with 4 more “rolling” innings.
EXAMPLE C:
Pitcher “C” (11 year old) pitches 1 inning in his teams first game.
The SAME PITCHER pitches 1 inning in his teams second game.
The SAME PITCHER pitches 1 inning in his teams third game.
The SAME PITCHER pitches 1 inning in his teams fourth game.
This Pitcher/Player (Pitcher “C”) MUST take the next game off and is then
eligible to pitch in the next game with 4 more “rolling” innings.
EXAMPLE D:
Pitcher “D”
(9 or 10 year old) pitches 3 innings in his teams first game.
The SAME PITCHER pitches 3 innings in
his teams second game.
This Pitcher/Player (Pitcher “D”) has pitched 6 “rolling” innings and must rest
1 game.
EXAMPLE E:
Pitcher “E”
(9 or 10 year old) pitches all 6 innings in his teams first games. This
Pitcher/Player (Pitcher “E”) has pitched 6 “rolling” innings and must rest 1
game.
