Dear
Parents:
I can’t believe it but baseball is right around the corner. Registration is on the second and fourth Saturdays in February. I hope you all had a nice enough time last year and that you will be at registration once again.
Last year there were some minor incidents but I think the board acted responsibly and was able to get everything resolved to everybody’s satisfaction. As volunteers we learn from these things and hope to make the next year more enjoyable and rewarding for both the players and the fans.
We are looking forward to a great season that can only be accomplished with your support. We will be needing managers, coaches and team leaders formerly known as team moms.
We have added a new feature to our already super web site. It will allow managers to enter scores and highlites from their games. It will also have the ability to text message all players for each team with information about practices, games, cancellations and more.
If you are reading this message you are already on the web site so please take some time to look it over and let us know how you feel about it. You can also give me your opinions and ideas at registration. Hope to see you there.
The 2010 season is shaping up to be a very exciting and enjoyable season for all who register to play. Your board of directors has been hard at work getting ready for registration, approving new rules and setting up a calendar of events that should work for everyone.
Please remember that this league is run strictly by volunteers. And it doesn’t stop at the board of directors. We need managers, coaches and team Moms. Don’t be afraid to get involved with your child’s team.
If you weren’t entirely happy with how things were run last year, I give you two options. Pick up the phone and call your league director or feel free to get in touch with me. The other option is to get involved by volunteering and help correct any problems.
I take pride inRemember to cheer positive.
